Because we have so much love for our peeps, and because we can’t help but buy into holidays (thanks to the premature shelve stocking habits of supermarkets and pharmacies nationwide), we decided to get into the loving spirit by screen printing some custom Valentines. It actually was a great exercise in non-client related work. Don’t get me wrong, Hatchet loves clients. But its nice to be able to express our creativity and love…just because. You should try it sometime. So on the Saturday before Valentines day we had the bright idea to design and screen print some ‘tines…

I seem to always forget the lengthy nature of the screen printing process, but whatever! Since the Lumberpeople felt so inclined to try and make it to church on Sunday (and bring some prints with them), we were under somewhat of a crunch. Flashback to the student days that I miss so much, minus my lovely late-night graphic design crew (SHOUT OUT 316!) and the craziness that ensued on those long, sleepless nights. We started burning screens at 7:45 am and finished screening our 80 or so Valentines by 9:40 am, 5 minutes before church started. We rushed to church (David rounding corners in the car) and walked in to hear the end of the first song, which has kind of been the usual since becoming business owners, with Valentines in hand.
